PLANNING HOW MANY FENCE SECTIONS, END POSTS, GATE POSTS AND GATES YOUR PROJECT WILL NEED.

 CALCULATION STEPS:

1. MEASURE THE LINEAR FOOTAGE PER EACH FENCE RUN, NOT INCLUDING GATE(S) IF REQUIRED.

2. ADD THE LINEAR FOOTAGE OF EACH FENCE RUN TO GET THE TOTAL LINEAR FOOTAGE FOR THE FENCING.

BASED ON EXAMPLE: 24 + 54 + 120 + 30 + 6 = 234 LINEAR FT.

3. DIVIDE THE TOTAL LINEAR FOOTAGE BY 6 (WIDTH OF 1 FENCE SECTION) - THIS WILL GIVE THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FENCE SECTIONS NEEDED FOR THE PROJECT (ROUND UP DECIMAL RESULTS).

BASED ON EXAMPLE: 234 / 6 = 38.66 - ROUNDING UP, 39 SECTIONS OF FENCE WILL BE NEEDED FOR THE PROJECT. 

4. DETERMINE HOW MANY ADDITIONAL END POSTS AND GATE POSTS WILL BE NEEDED.

EVERY FENCE PROJECT WILL LIKELY REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 1 END POST. BASED ON EXAMPLE, THE PROJECT WILL REQUIRE 1 END POST AND 2 GATE POSTS. (SEE HIGHLIGHTS IN EXAMPLE FENCE PROJECT).
